Ammunition Policy
AMMUNITION SALES: UNIQUE POLICIES AND REGULATIONS

At Surplus Defense, we strive to provide our customers with a safe and convenient ammunition purchasing experience. To ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulations, we have implemented the following unique policies and restrictions:

Age Restrictions:
1. Shotguns and Rifles: You must be 18 years or older to purchase shotgun or rifle ammunition.
2. Handguns: You must be 21 years or older to purchase handgun ammunition.

Shipping Restrictions:
1. We only ship ammunition to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship internationally or to Alaska, Hawaii, or any other US territories.
2. All ammunition will be shipped exclusively via ground service. Expedited shipping options are not available due to safety regulations.

Returns and Functionality Issues:
1. Due to safety regulations, all shipped ammunition is non-returnable. Please ensure your order is accurate before completing the purchase.
2. In case of any functionality issues with the ammunition, please contact the manufacturer directly. They will assist you in resolving any concerns.

Payment Options:
1. We do not accept PayPal as a payment option for ammunition or firearm accessories. If PayPal is selected as the payment method, your ammunition order will be canceled.

Shipping to FFL (Federal Firearms License) Premises Address:
1. California: Ammunition can only be shipped to a verified FFL premises address. FFL Type 03 also requires a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility (COE).
2. Massachusetts: Ammunition may only be shipped to a verified FFL premises address. FFL Types 03 and 06 will not be accepted. Both a valid Driver's License (or State ID) and License to Carry Firearms (LTC) card must be on file with us prior to shipping.
3. New York: Ammunition may only be shipped to a verified FFL premises address. FFL Types 03 and 06 will not be accepted. FFL documents must be on file with us prior to shipping.

State-Specific Requirements:
1. Connecticut: Before shipping ammunition, we require the following valid documents to be on file: Driver's License (or State ID) and ONE of the following: Permit for Pistol or Revolver, Eligibility Certificate for Pistol or Revolver, Long Gun Eligibility Certificate, or Ammunition Certificate.
2. District of Columbia: We do not ship ammunition to the District of Columbia.
3. Illinois: Before shipping ammunition, both a valid Driver's License (or State ID) and FOID Card (Firearm Owner Identification) must be on file with us.
4. New Jersey: Due to recent changes in firearm and ammunition laws, we have temporarily suspended the sale of handgun ammunition to NJ addresses. Some rifle/shotgun calibers may require additional documentation or may be prohibited. Please contact us for more information.
5. Other state-specific restrictions may apply. Please ensure you are familiar with the regulations in your state before placing an order.
