This is a very nice and authentic Japanese Imperial Type 98 Sword. This is a non-traditionally made blade manufactured in WW2 for the Japanese Army. The handle is ray skin, but could use a re-wrap and is missing the screw and lanyard ring. The blade is a Mantetsu-tō. The blade retains its factory edge, and is in mint condition. No noticeable dings on edge unless upon close inspection. The scabbard is in good overall condition but has some scratches and a few dents in it. This is a nice displayable and collector grade Japanese Imperial Sword. Please view all 49 pictures at link above.
